Andrii Repula, Ph.D. has a strong background in microscopy and imaging, with expertise in optimizing light sources and contrast modes for biological imaging. Andrii has experience in designing and conducting experiments using optical, fluorescence, and confocal microscopy techniques. Andrii has conducted research on bacterial colonies and discovered a new material called biotropic liquid crystal. Andrii has also conducted microfluidic experiments and discovered a new kinetic of bacterial motion. Andrii obtained their Bachelor's degree in Atomic/Molecular Physics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv from 2009 to 2013. Andrii continued their studies at the same university and earned a Master's degree in Atomic/Molecular Physics from 2013 to 2015.
Afterward, Andrii pursued further studies abroad, attending the University of Strasbourg from 2014 to 2015 to complete a Master's degree in Biophysics and Nanoscience. Andrii then moved to the Université de Bordeaux, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Biological Physics & Physical Chemistry from 2015 to 2018.
