Bart Frischknecht has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Bart started their career as an intern at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in 2003 and later worked as a Process Engineer at Happijac Company in 2004. In 2005, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan and as an intern at Johnson Controls Automotive. Bart then pursued their Ph.D. at Michigan, followed by a postdoctoral research fellowship.
In 2010, they joined the University of Technology Sydney as a Senior Research Fellow in the UTS Business School, where they led commercial research projects, designed survey and analysis techniques, and won research grants as co-chief investigator. Bart was responsible for projects across five industries and six countries, and their work contributed to the development of individual-level choice models.
In 2014, they moved back to the United States and worked at Vennli in various capacities, including Director Consulting and Research, VP Customer Success and Research, and VP Product Strategy. At Vennli, they led academic and industrial projects to identify strategic growth opportunities, improve a firm’s competitive position, forecast product demand, or combine engineering and market research for new product development.
In 2020, they co-founded Cobomba and served as the CEO until 2023. Cobomba is an AI-powered solution that helps companies align their product marketing with customer needs and preferences.
In 2023, they joined Lumen Energy as a Customer Success Manager, where they are responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and success. Bart also hosts the podcast Banking on Solar, where renewable energy project financing stakeholders share lessons learned.
Bart Frischknecht earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University between 1997 and 2004. Frischknecht then earned their Master's degree, also in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Michigan between 2004 and 2006. From 2006 to 2009, Frischknecht completed their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan.
