Steven Thomas has over 12 years of work experience. Steven began their career in 2007 as a student at Columbia University's Advanced Robotics Laboratory. In 2009, they were a Project Manager and Lead Software Engineer for Engineering Senior Design, where they wrote software for a 3D computer interface device with force feedback capabilities. That same year, they also worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Mide Technology Corporation, where they were the lead engineering consultant for a collaboration with a utility-scale solar power company. In 2013, Steven worked as a Junior Software Engineer at NDensity, where they were responsible for analysis and optimization of a real-time computer vision system, and ported software from MatLab to Python, utilizing NumPy and OpenCV. From 2014 to 2019, Steven worked as a Lead Process Engineer, SLS at Formlabs, and in 2019 they were a Senior Test Engineer at Veo Robotics, Inc. Currently, they are a SW R&D Engineer at Lumafield.

Steven Thomas attended Columbia Engineering from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
