Jon Summers is a distinguished academic and research leader currently serving as Chairperson at the Open Compute Project Foundation, where responsibilities include leading the Future Technologies Symposium committee. At RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Jon is developing a strong presence in data centre research and aims for European excellence. Additionally, Jon holds roles as Visiting Professor at the University of Leeds and Adjunct Professor at Luleå University of Technology, focusing on thermal and energy management in microelectronic systems. Past contributions include board membership with the Data Centre Alliance and advisory positions with Asperitas. With a PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of Leeds, Jon possesses extensive teaching experience and a strong research background spanning several decades.
