Sue Butterworth

Head Of Technical, Compliance & Sustainability at Lucy & Yak

Sue Butterworth has diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Sue is currently working as the Head of Technical & Compliance at Lucy and Yak Ltd since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at N Brown Group from 2013 to 2020, where they held roles as a Fit Innovator - Digital Fit and Product Technologist. In their role as Fit Innovator, they were responsible for achieving fit consistency and creating documented Block & Fit standards. As a Product Technologist, Sue focused on improving quality, fit, and value of the products, as well as reviewing and improving quality standards. Before joining N Brown Group, Sue worked as a Garment Technologist at FIGURE CLOTHING from 2010 to 2013, where they were involved in the development and construction of new styles. Prior to that, they worked at RMS (Jon Adam Group) from 1997 to 2008 as a Pattern Cutter/Garment Technologist, and at Churchill Reed Manchester from 1994 to 1997 as a Pattern Cutter for mens outerwear.

Sue Butterworth's education history is as follows:

From 1992 to 1994, Sue attended Kent Institute of Art and Design, where they pursued a BTEC HND degree in Clothing Technology.

Prior to that, from 1990 to 1992, they enrolled at Hopwood Hall College, where they earned a BTEC ND degree in Fashion and textiles.

Before their college education, Sue completed their secondary education at Wardle High School from 1985 to 1990. Sue obtained a GCSE degree during their time there.

In addition to their formal education, Sue has obtained additional certifications. In September 2020, they completed the VStitcher 101 Foundations course at Browzwear and received a Certificate of Completion. Sue also holds a Certificate of Completion in VStitcher 201 Foundations from Browzwear, obtained in 2021 (the specific month is not provided).
