Rod Barman is an experienced leader in the field of machine vision and digital camera technology, currently serving as the President of Lucid Vision Labs, Inc. since January 2017, where the company specializes in designing and manufacturing innovative machine vision cameras. Previously, Barman co-founded and led Point Grey Research, Inc. from its inception in January 1997 until February 2016, achieving significant growth and establishing the company as a global leader in high-performance digital cameras without external funding. Barman's early career includes a role as a Research Engineer at the Centre for Integrated Computer Systems Research at the University of British Columbia from 1990 to 2000. Barman holds a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
