Mark Luger has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Mark started their career as a Professional Hockey Player for the Roanoke Express- ECHL in 1994-1995. After their hockey career, they joined CPI Card Group (formerly UV Color, Inc.) in 1996 as a Production Manager. At CPI Card Group, they oversaw the growth of the converting operation, managed a team of supervisors and production employees, and was responsible for budget planning and quality assurance. In 2006, they joined Smyth Companies as a Plant Manager where they successfully planned and maintained budgets, exceeded P&L responsibilities, and implemented level loading strategies. Following their time at Smyth Companies, Mark worked at Travel Tags from 2006-2019 where they held various roles including Director of Operations and General Manager. In these positions, they contributed to the growth and success of Travel Tags, one of the largest Gift Card Manufacturers in the US. Currently, they are working as the Director Of Operations- Custom Branded Solutions at Lube-Tech.
Mark Luger obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Marketing/Business Administration from the University of Denver, where they attended from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they graduated from Hill-Murray School from 1985 to 1988. In terms of additional certifications, Mark Luger obtained a Lean Practitioner Certification from the Manufacturers Alliance in September 2017. Mark also received Visual Management & 5S improvements certification from St. Paul College in October 2012. In April 2009, they completed Verbal/Nonverbal Communication Skills training at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Additionally, Mark Luger underwent Lean/Flow Manufacturing training at St. Paul College in March 2008.
