Michael R. Martinez is a specialized retina and vitreo expert currently working at ISSSTELEON since June 2022. With extensive experience in the field, Michael has served as a medical and surgical retina consultant at Luanda Medical Center since May 2017 and completed a vitreo-retina fellowship at Tel Aviv Medical Center from February 2014 to December 2016. Michael held the position of senior ophthalmologist at Centro Medico La Paz, overseeing the ophthalmology department for a referral medical center in Equatorial Guinea and West Africa from July 2012 to December 2013. Prior to that, Michael underwent a four-year ophthalmology residency at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center from July 2008 to July 2012. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Universidad Aut贸noma de Nuevo Le贸n, followed by an ophthalmology degree from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, a surgical retina fellowship from European School for Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology, and a vitreo-retina fellowship from Tel Aviv University.
