Erik Orton has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Erik began their career at NorAm Telecommunications in 1993, where they worked as a Project Manager until 2000. Following this, they joined W&H Pacific as an OSP Project Manager and Designer, holding the position until 2004. Erik then worked at Sparling as an OSP Project Manager and Designer from 2004 to 2006. Erik then ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Commstructure Consulting in 2006, where they served as the Owner and CEO until 2022. Currently, Erik is the VP of Infrastructure Engineering at LS Networks as of October 2022.

From 1988 to 1990, Erik Orton attended Mt. Hood Community College. During this time, they pursued a degree in AAS Mechanical Engineering Technology, with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Surveying.
