Janet Scanlon is an experienced social worker with a career spanning over two decades in various healthcare and community service roles. Currently serving as a Social Worker in Population Health at Loyola Medicine since October 2024, Janet previously worked as a Social Worker and Client Services Manager at AgeOptions from May 2020 to October 2024, and as a Social Worker in the Extended Care Unit at Community First Medical Center from March 2018 to March 2020. Janet has a strong background in patient assessment, care planning, and resource referral, having collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families, and insurance providers to address patient needs. Janet also held leadership positions, including Director of the Elder Abuse Education Center and Director of Geriatric Mental Health and Self Neglect at West Suburban Senior Services, where the focus was on raising awareness of elder abuse and supporting older adults facing mental health challenges.
