Chief Planner, Loyalist Township at Loyalist Township

Bohdan Wynnycky RPP has a diverse range of work experience in the planning and development field. Bohdan is currently serving as the Chief Planner for Loyalist Township, where they manage the Planning, Engineering, and Building Department services. In this role, they present development proposals to various committees and represents the Township's interests before the Ontario Municipal Board. Prior to their current position, Bohdan held the role of Manager of Development Services for Loyalist Township, where they were responsible for processing development applications and obtaining necessary approvals.

Bohdan has also worked for the Ontario Government as a Senior Manager of Intergovernmental Relations and Partnerships. In this role, they oversaw the province's Municipal Performance Measurement Program and developed tools and programs to raise municipal management capacity. Bohdan was also responsible for provincial oversight of the Ontario Municipal Knowledge Network and the Municipal Information and Data Analysis System.

Additionally, Bohdan has experience working for the Niagara Escarpment Commission as the Manager of Development Control. Here, they ensured development applications complied with Niagara Escarpment Plan policies and provided professional advice to the Commission and Director.

Before their time with the Niagara Escarpment Commission, Bohdan worked for the Canadian Urban Institute and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities as a Senior Associate and Canadian Expert in Performance Measurement and Evaluation.

Bohdan's earlier work experience includes roles as the Coordinator for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, where they managed education and training for court services staff, and an Associate for the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.

Bohdan also worked as an Environmental Planner for the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.

Bohdan Wynnycky RPP obtained a Master's Certificate of Environmental Management in Geography from Ryerson University in the year 1997. Prior to that, between 1985 and 1989, they pursued studies in Urban and Regional Planning at the same institution.
