Anton Gulevich has extensive work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Anton is currently working as a Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Loxo Oncology at Lilly since December 2021. Prior to this, Anton worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals for six years, from January 2015 to November 2021, where they held the roles of Scientist and Senior Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry. At Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Anton led a sub-team of chemists in the design and synthesis of new molecules for the development of a sodium channel inhibitor for pain treatment. Anton also played a key role in conducting SAR analysis, organizing team meetings, managing outsourcing, and collaborating with various departments to achieve program milestones.
Earlier in their career, Anton served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Chicago from January 2010 to November 2014. Anton also worked as a Graduate Student at Moscow State University from September 2006 to December 2009, where they made significant contributions to the discovery of innovative multicomponent reactions for the synthesis of modified peptides and peptidomimetics. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Bremen from June 2007 to September 2007, where they worked on the development of a concise multicomponent synthesis of CF3-substituted peptides and amino acids.
Anton Gulevich obtained a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in the years 2006-2010. Anton further pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Illinois Chicago, from 2010-2014.
