Mary Hinkle is an experienced academic and researcher in the fields of physics and planetary science. Currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Central Florida since August 2016, Mary teaches Advanced Observational Astronomy labs and engages in public outreach events at Robinson Observatory. Concurrently, Mary operates as a Graduate Research Assistant at Lowell Observatory, focusing on statistical analysis of near-Earth object compositions. With a robust background in teaching introductory physics labs at Northern Arizona University, database analysis at EBSCO Research LLC, and various research roles at Agnes Scott College, Mary has developed extensive skills in data analysis, programming, and astronomy education. Mary holds a Ph.D. in Physics and Planetary Science from the University of Central Florida, a Master's in Applied Physics and Planetary Science from Northern Arizona University, and a Bachelor's degree in English and Astrophysics from Agnes Scott College.
