Simon Hardy has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Simon began their career at Pioneer Mortgage Services, where they worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer/Project Manager for nearly six years. Afterward, they served as Managing Director at Smarter Components Pty Ltd for two and a half years. Simon then joined Snowden as a Senior Developer for ten months before moving on to the HMRC Valuation Office Agency, where they worked as an Application Development Teams Manager for over a year. Following this, they worked at the UK Parliament as a Development Manager for nine months. Simon then worked at Centrica as an AD&D Design & Development Manager on a contractual basis for eight months. Simon continued their career at Transform as a Software Consultant for five months before joining ASOS.com as a Solutions Architect for a year. Simon's next position was as an Architect (Contract) at Investec for over two years. Currently, they are employed as CTO at Atelier Technology Limited, where they have been working since 2016.

Simon Hardy attended Merrimac State Primary School for an unknown duration. Simon then went on to study at Merrimac State High School from 1993 to 1998, where they achieved a Queensland High School Certificate. Afterward, Simon enrolled at Bond University in 1999 and completed their studies in 2002, earning a BIT (Hons) degree in Information Technology.
