James A. Young is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Administrative Law Judge Advanced at the Louisiana Workforce Commission since November 2016, following previous roles as an entry-level and intermediate Administrative Law Judge. Prior to this, James held the position of Head Deacon at The New St. John Baptist Church for over 18 years and gained valuable legal experience as a legal extern at various prestigious organizations, including the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. Educationally, James earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from The College of William & Mary Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Sociology, and Philosophy/Religious Studies from Louisiana State University.
