Cheryl Floyd is the current Financial & Grants Senior Manager at the Louisiana Public Health Institute. Cheryl has over 23 years of experience in finance and grants management. Prior to their current position, Cheryl served as the Director of Finance at Total Community Action from August 1993 to October 2006. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining over $32MM+ annually by implementing and executing all regulatory rules. Cheryl also managed funds from various US government departments, participated in external efforts to drive economic empowerment, and designed, developed and implemented tools and techniques for grants and contracts used for strategic planning, financial forecasting and variance analysis. Cheryl has a strong track record in financial management and is skilled in developing systems to enhance revenue while reducing expenditures. Cheryl is an effective communicator and has presented financial statements and variance to the Board of Directors and the President on a quarterly and yearly basis. Cheryl has also served as the internal and external board liaison for TCA and has represented the organization locally and nationally.
Cheryl Floyd has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration from Southern University of New Orleans.
They work with Angela Dedeaux - Finance Coordinator, Dira Lay - Senior Finance Manager, and Julie Montalbano - Finance Manager. Cheryl Floyd reports to Amy Cavallino, Director of Finance and Operations.
