Dorela Berthelot is an accomplished music educator and cellist with extensive experience in both teaching and performance. Currently serving as a Music Teacher for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System since August 2021, Dorela also holds positions with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra as a Substitute Cellist and as Artistic Director and cellist for the South Louisiana Virtuosi. Dorela’s previous roles include Principal Cellist for the Louisiana Sinfonietta, Ac. Principal Cellist with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, and a cellist with the Freiburg Philharmonic. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Cellist - Music Performance from Louisiana State University and a Master's degree in Solo Performance from Musikhochschule Freiburg, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Cello from the Academy of Arts.
