Brent A. Villemarette, MSW, LCSW-BACS, has extensive experience in social work, particularly in child welfare and clinical services. Currently serving as a Child Welfare Consultant with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services since 2015, Villemarette has also maintained a self-employed practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1995, focusing on medical social services, training, and consulting. Previously, Villemarette held the position of Vice Chairman of the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners from May 2017 to August 2020 and served as the Deputy Secretary of Programs with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services from August 1981 to July 2014. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Louisiana Christian University.
