Melissa Brister Garcia has over a decade of experience in workforce support and youth development. Currently serving as Workforce Support Manager at the Louisiana Association for the Blind since October 2014, Melissa previously held multiple roles at Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana from May 2011 to October 2014, including Youth Specialist, Job Coach/Retention Specialist, and Master Mentor. Earlier in the career, Melissa worked as a Camp Counselor at the Boys and Girls Club of Central Louisiana from June 2009 to May 2010. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Studies from Louisiana Tech University, earned in 2010.
