Carter Crutchfield is currently the football assistant at the Los Angeles Rams. Prior to this, they served as the football chief of staff at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from January 2019 to August 2021. Carter has also held positions as the director of football operations/recruiting coordinator at Austin Peay State University from January 2016 to December 2018 and as the director of football operations at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from August 2013 to December 2015. In addition, they have experience as a marketing intern for athletics at Tennessee Tech University, where they phoned potential donors, filmed and directed replay and graphics for sporting events on the OVC Digital Network, and created promotions for athletic events. Carter's experience also includes an internship in the athletic office at the University of Tennessee, where they worked primarily in the football recruiting office, entered data on players, evaluated potential prospects, assisted with recruiting visits, and helped direct summer camps.

Carter Crutchfield attended Tennessee Technological University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.
