Barbara Jones is an experienced journalism professional with a career spanning several decades. Since 1987, Barbara has worked at the Los Angeles Daily News as an Education Reporter and Assignment Editor, demonstrating extensive management and supervisory skills by planning, assigning, and editing stories across various sections. Prior to this, Barbara served as a Public Information Officer for the Los Angeles Unified School District from 2014 to 2021, additionally holding the position of Chief of Staff for School Board Member Tamar Galatzan. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Senior Account Executive at Kinzley-Hughes Inc. and working as a reporter for the Denver Post and the Colorado Springs Gazette, where Barbara gained valuable experience in public relations and local news coverage. Barbara earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder.
