Ryan Yackel

Vp, Senior Analyst - Full Discretion at Loomis Sayles

Ryan Yackel has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Ryan began their career at John Hancock Financial Services in 2006, where they worked as an Associate Analyst in the Investment Rotation Program. During this time, they gained experience in equity research in both Boston and London. Ryan then transitioned to the role of Investment Analyst from 2008 to 2011.

In 2013, Yackel joined Loomis, Sayles & Company, where they held various positions. Ryan started as a Credit Analyst and worked in that role for three years. Ryan then became a Senior Credit Analyst for one year and was responsible for analyzing creditworthiness and making investment recommendations. Yackel then transitioned to the role of VP, Senior Analyst & High Yield Coordinator, where they covered High Yield/Leveraged Loans and Investment Grade companies in the Technology and Media sectors. In this role, they conducted extensive fundamental research, including financial modeling, industry research, and recovery analysis.

Currently, Yackel holds the position of VP, Senior Analyst - Full Discretion. Ryan is part of a small dedicated team responsible for driving high conviction ideas across a ~$65b AUM suite of fixed income multi-sector strategies. Ryan focuses on deep fundamental research to identify value-based opportunities and seeks high total returns and significant excess returns.

Ryan Yackel received their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Boston College, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended Saint Ignatius High School from 1998 to 2002. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, completing their studies between 2011 and 2013.
