Prasad Deshpande has over 25 years of work experience in the technology industry. Prasad most recently worked at Lookout as a Senior Principal Engineer, starting in July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Staff Engineer at Lookout from August 2015 to July 2021. Before joining Lookout, Prasad worked as a Consulting Engineer at Gridco Systems from October 2011 to August 2015. Prasad also had various roles at Cisco, including Technical Leader from September 2009 to October 2011, Manager of Software Development from September 2007 to September 2009, and Technical Leader from October 2006 to September 2007. Prasad began their career as a Software Engineer at Juniper Networks in March 1999 and worked there until October 2006. Prasad also had a brief role as a Software Engineer at Redstone Communications in 1999. Prasad started their career at FORE Systems as a Software Engineer from June 1996 to December 1998.

Prasad Deshpande completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Rutgers University from 1994 to 1996.
