Lars Herrmann is a seasoned professional in digital information science, manufacturing, and process innovation, currently serving as Director at Lonza. As a co-founder and board member at Almer Technologies, Lars has contributed significantly to the establishment of the company. Lars previously held the position of Senior Engineering Consultant in Data Analytics and AI at Eraneos and R&D Engineer focused on sensor development and semiconductor manufacturing at IBM. Additionally, Lars has experience as a Research Scientist in optical engineering and spectroscopy at the University of Cambridge. Lars obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the University of Cambridge and completed postdoctoral research in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at ETH Zürich.
