Behnam Ahmadian Baghbaderani serves as the Vice President and Global Head of Commercial and Program Management at Lonza since May 2021, emphasizing high-quality customer service and innovative solutions for cell and gene therapies. Before this role, Baghbaderani held multiple key positions at Lonza Pharma & Biotech from May 2018 to April 2021, including Senior Director and Executive Director, focusing on the development of manufacturing processes and analytical methods for cell and gene therapy applications. Previous experience at Lonza also included roles such as Associate Director and Senior Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing pluripotent stem cell research and process development. Baghbaderani began an academic career with postdoctoral fellowships at the National Institutes of Health, specializing in the bioreactor expansion of human pluripotent stem cells. Baghbaderani holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
