Gene Bethea has a diverse professional background with experience in education and technology. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher for Longview School District since May 2021, Gene also brings a rich history in the tech industry, having worked as a Lead Web Developer for Columbia Technical Services, LLC from January 2012 to February 2022. There, responsibilities included web site development, maintenance, search engine optimization, and online retailing. Prior roles include serving as a Technical Support/Sales Representative at Stream Global Services and as a Person In Charge at Safeway. Gene's formal education includes a Master of Education in Learning and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Western Governors University, along with an Oregon Transfer Degree in Business Administration and an Associate's degree in Accounting from Portland Community College.
