Richard Longbons is a seasoned reliability engineer at Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging, Inc. since 2008, where expertise includes developing FMEA, RCFA, KPI, and failure reporting programs, alongside conducting life cycle cost and lost time analyses. Prior to this role, Richard served as a senior design engineer and design engineer at Longview Fibre Company from 1990 to 2007 and 1980 to 1989, respectively, managing project administration, scheduling, and troubleshooting vacuum and hydraulic systems, while also focusing on the design and installation of various pumping and piping systems. Early experience includes a position as a survey technician with the US Forest Service from 1978 to 1979. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from Washington State University.
