Toms Sturitis has a strong background in investment promotion and business development. Toms worked as the Head of Investment Promotion Division at the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia from January 2018 to August 2021. In this role, they assisted foreign capital companies in developing their businesses in Latvia, engaged in dialogue with the government and municipalities on foreign investment-related topics, and built networks and relationships with stakeholders to increase awareness of the country's value proposition. Prior to this, Toms served as the Deputy Director of the Liepaja Business Incubator in 2017, where they focused on developing guidelines, infrastructure, and strategic planning for the incubator, evaluating clients' business ideas, and determining necessary support packages to help them achieve their goals. From 2011 to 2016, Toms worked in various roles at the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, including Senior Investment Advisor and Investment Project Manager. In these positions, they advised foreign companies on the business and investment environment, maintained relationships with strategic clients and stakeholders, conducted data analysis for potential foreign company requests, and prepared presentations and marketing materials. Toms currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at LongeVC starting from September 2021.
Toms Sturitis began their education at Riga Secondary School No. 90 from 1997 to 2009. Toms then attended BA School of Business and Finance from 2009 to 2013, majoring in Business Administration and Management. Toms furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at both SBS Swiss Business School and BA School of Business and Finance from 2013 to 2015. Their MBA concentration areas were Business Administration and Management, as well as International Finance and Banking.
