Associate Director, Nonclinical Project Management at Longboard Pharmaceuticals

Sandhya Rege has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Sandhya is currently working as an Associate Director of Nonclinical Project Management at Longboard Pharmaceuticals since July 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Project Manager of NonClinical Development at the same company from January 2022 to July 2022.

Before joining Longboard Pharmaceuticals, Sandhya worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Toxicology Coordinator from April 2019 to February 2022. Sandhya'sresponsibilities included maintaining project data, leading planning meetings, and providing training to functional study directors.

From July 2017 to April 2019, Sandhya worked as a Project Manager at CMAST, a consultancy and project management company in the pharma and life sciences industry.

Earlier in their career, they held positions at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Contract Scientist from February 2014 to January 2016, Merck as a Senior Scientist from January 2008 to December 2013, GSK as a Senior Scientist from September 2002 to September 2007, and SmithKline Beecham Corporation as an Associate Scientist from February 1997 to June 1999.

Throughout their career, Sandhya has gained experience in project management, assay development, data analysis, and communication.

Sandhya Rege has a strong educational background in the field of science and biology. Sandhya obtained a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, General from Ramnarain Ruia College in 1988 to 1991. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Biochemistry from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda during the period from 1991 to 1993. Continuing their academic pursuits, Sandhya Rege obtained another Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Villanova University between the years 1994 and 1997.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sandhya Rege has also obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Sandhya achieved the designation of Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in May 2017. Furthermore, they earned a Six Sigma- Yellow Belt certification from Merck in July 2012. These additional certifications demonstrate their commitment to expanding their knowledge and expertise beyond the realm of academia.
