Kamyron Speller is an Associate Scientist of Medicinal Chemistry at Neurocrine Biosciences since June 2021, following a diverse background in research and education. At Bowdoin College, Kamyron served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Drug Discovery and Organic Chemistry, facilitating student learning through drop-in sessions. As a THRIVE Mentor, Kamyron supported students from disadvantaged backgrounds, promoting academic resources and personal development. Experience also includes work as a Student Researcher in the Broene Lab focused on cobalt catalyst synthesis and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, contributing to the total synthesis of an antimalarial natural product. A summer internship at Hemetrix involved drafting a patent application for a novel medical device. Kamyron earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Bowdoin College and holds a High School Diploma from Grossmont High School.
