Sharon Valdez has extensive experience in special education, currently serving as a Diploma Program Teacher at Exeter Adult Education since September 2016. Additionally, Valdez has been an Autism Special Education Teacher and Case Manager at Londonderry High School since August 2014, where responsibilities include managing the Flex program for students on the Autism Spectrum and helping to enhance their executive functioning, social, and communication skills. Prior experience includes a role as a Special Education Teacher at David Cawley Middle School from August 2009 to June 2014, supporting students in grades 6-8 and collaborating with educational staff to address IEP goals. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Master's in Education focused on Secondary Social Studies and General Special Education, and a Graduate Certificate in Behavioral Interventions in Autism, all obtained from respected institutions in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
