Stuart Thomas is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Communications Director at London North Eastern Railway since September 2023. Prior to this role, Stuart held various leadership positions at BBC from June 2009 to September 2023, including Head of the Midlands and Head of BBC East Midlands & Head of English Regions Programmes. Stuart's earlier career includes Editor of London Tonight at ITN from 2004 to 2009, News Editor for RI:SE on Channel 4 at Sky from 2002 to 2003, and Programme Controller for LBC and ITN News Direct from 1998 to 2003. Additional experience includes News Editor at 95.8 Capital FM and News Editor at Invicta Radio. Stuart holds an education from the University of Kent and Godalming College.
