Javid Farahani has a diverse range of work experience in various roles related to cognition, skill acquisition, and performance enhancement. Javid is currently the CEO and Founder of Cogmap, a position they took on in October 2021. Prior to this, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of London Cognition, a role they held since November 2016.
Javid has also worked as a Cognition & Skill Acquisition Consultant at both Fulham Football Club (from May 2017 to October 2021) and SINA Voetballab (from January 2015 to October 2021). Javid has experience in consulting on elite performance and cognitive aspects of sports.
Additionally, Javid was a Cognition & Elite Performance Consultant at Huma from June 2018 to May 2019. Javid has also conducted doctoral research as a Doctoral Researcher with GSK Human Performance Lab in Applied Cognitive Neuroscience at GSK, starting in October 2014 and ending in September 2017.
Prior to this, Javid worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt am Main, focusing on causal network in football from January 2014 to December 2015. Javid gained practical experience as a Performance Analysis intern at West Ham United FC from October 2012 to June 2013.
Javid's early work experience includes a role as a football coach at Bangor University from September 2009 to September 2010. Throughout their career, Javid has demonstrated a passion for sports and a focus on enhancing cognitive abilities and performance in athletes.
Javid Farahani pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Cognitive Neuroscience from 2014 to 2019 at UCL. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, they completed another PhD in Sport Psychology at Brunel University London. In 2009 to 2010, Javid earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology from Bangor University. Their Bachelor's degree in Business Management was obtained from the University of Isfahan from 2004 to 2008.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Javid Farahani holds various certifications. Javid received a UEFA B Coaching Licence from UEFA in December 2018. In 2009, they became an Accredited Journalist through AIPS Media. Javid also obtained a certification in Journalism & Reporting from the BBC, although the specific month of completion is not provided.
