Melissa Ruth, AICP, is a land use planner with extensive experience in interpreting and applying government policies to development and conservation projects. Currently employed at Logan Simpson since February 2020, Melissa previously held planner positions at Y2 Consultants, LLC, and the City of Bellingham. Key accomplishments include advising communities on development potentials and analyzing proposals with innovative approaches. Melissa's background includes environmental policy internships with the San Juan County Parks Department and the Bureau of Land Management, contributing to significant planning documents for the San Juan Islands National Monument. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Economics from Western Washington University.
