Joel Collyer has a diverse background in web development and design. Joel'smost recent position was as a Senior Full Stack Developer at LodgeLink, which they started in 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Design and Development Consultant at Summit Design & Productions since 2006. Joel also served as a Lead Developer at HR-and from 2017 to 2020, where they used Scrum methodology and Test Driven Development best practices to develop an HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Insurance application for small and medium-sized businesses. From 2014 to 2017, Joel worked as an Associate Web Developer at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, collaborating with various teams across multiple locations to develop and maintain websites and applications. Joel was also a Contract Web Developer at Evans Hunt from 2014 to 2017, where they worked on various projects for clients such as Shaw Communications and Cardinal Paint. In addition, Joel worked as a Contract Web Developer at ClickSpace Interactive Inc. in 2014, assisting with server administration and setting up the Drupal framework for the company's website. Prior to that, they were a Web Developer at RedPoint Media from 2010 to 2014, where they were responsible for programming portions of websites and utilizing various open-source products. Joel's earlier experiences include working as a Web Design Manager at Eligeo IT from 2008 to 2010 and as a Multimedia Developer at HBX Control Systems Inc.

From 2005 to 2007, Joel Collyer studied at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and obtained a degree in NMPD. Joel'sfield of study during this time was Communication Technology.
