David Genson

Head of Retail Operations and Finance at Locust Cider

David Genson has a broad range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. David currently serves as the Head of Retail Operations and Finance at Locust Cider, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the VP of Finance and Development at Locust Cider from December 2020 to November 2021, and as the VP of Store Development from April 2019 to December 2020.

Before joining Locust Cider, David worked at Starbucks for several years. David held the role of Program Manager - Strategic Initiatives from 2014 to 2018, where they provided strategic leadership and developmental coaching to a team of project managers. David also served as a Manager of Project Management from 2009 to 2014, leading senior project managers in key strategic initiatives and acting as a special consultant to global leadership.

Prior to Starbucks, David worked at Vynamic Solutions - Northwest as a Manager of Consulting Services from 2008 to 2009. David led internal company initiatives and external engagements with client organizations.

David also has experience working at Washington Mutual as a Senior Project Manager from 2005 to 2008, where they managed large complex projects and championed ideas to senior leadership. David began their career at Capital One, where they held various Project Manager roles from 1999 to 2005. In these roles, they utilized project management tools and methodologies to execute projects according to cost, schedule, and scope constraints.

David Genson attended Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a BBA degree in Operations Management and International Business. David then pursued further education at The George Washington University from 1999 to 2002, earning a Masters Certificate in Project Management. In 2005, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
