Om Gandhi is a graduate student researcher at the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on engineering hematopoietic stem cells and chimeric antigen receptor macrophages to develop cancer immunotherapies for solid tumors. Concurrently, Om serves as an undergraduate student researcher at Penn Medicine, investigating metabolic perturbations in neuroblastoma and developing computational approaches for oncology. Om also acts as a teaching assistant in the Chemistry and Bioengineering departments, covering various courses, and provides academic tutoring in statistics and resource assistance for multiple subjects. Additionally, Om is a co-director at Locust Bioventures, facilitating the transformation of promising therapeutics from Penn laboratories into viable biotech startups. Previous experience includes serving as a high school research intern at Northwestern University, studying muscle-torque perception and proprioception. Om is pursuing a Master of Science in Bioengineering and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania.
