Daniela Martino Roth has extensive work experience in scientific research and leadership roles. Daniela started their career as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Monash University, where they focused on studying the mechanisms of nuclear import negative regulation and gene expression in breast cancer. Daniela then worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at The Scripps Research Institute, where they developed high-throughput screening assays for therapeutic development.
Following that, Daniela joined Exact Sciences as a Senior Scientist, where they led research projects involving the improvement and stabilization of mammalian cells, including tumor cells, viruses, proteins, and genetic materials. Daniela was responsible for experimental design, execution, and data analysis to drive projects from feasibility to completion.
Currently, Daniela is the Director of Molecular Biology and In Vitro Pharmacology at Locanabio, Inc. Daniela joined the company as the first research scientist and played a crucial role in building the company's platform, IP portfolio, and R&D team. Over the years, they have been promoted and heavily contributed to the company's science and culture. Daniela currently supervises the molecular biology and in vitro pharmacology groups to move multiple programs and platform development projects forward.
