João Esteves is a Senior Data Platform Engineer with extensive experience in data engineering and architecture across various companies. Currently, at LocalStack since October 2024, João previously worked at ResearchGate, where significant contributions included modernizing an HDFS/Hive-based Data Lake and transitioning to a BigQuery-based Data Warehouse. In prior roles at HelloFresh, Zalando, and OLX Brasil, achievements encompassed maintaining complex data pipelines, implementing data quality monitoring, and supporting large-scale ETL processes. With a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UERJ, João's background also includes software engineering positions at Stone Pagamentos and other organizations, showcasing a solid foundation in developing and optimizing technology solutions.
