Shaunda Moore

Vice President/portfolio Manager at First Bank

Shaunda Moore has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Shaunda began their career at Kinston Housing Authority, where they served as an Occupancy Specialist/Property Manager, handling various responsibilities such as rent collections, annual recertification, and conducting application interviews. Shaunda then moved on to the banking industry, joining Southern Bank and Trust Co. as a Credit Analyst, where they conducted credit analysis, reviewed financial results, and prepared financial projections. Shaunda later took on the role of Branch Manager/Retail Lender at the same company, where they supervised employees, managed overall branch operations, and focused on increasing sales and referrals.

Shaunda then transitioned to BB&T as a Vice President/Portfolio Manager III, providing support to Commercial Relationship Managers by underwriting credit requests, recommending credit structures, and ensuring adherence to risk philosophy and lending strategies. Additionally, they coordinated meetings, facilitated timely receipt of financial statements, and played a vital role in the overall credit process.

Most recently, Shaunda joined First Bank as a Vice President/Portfolio Manager, where they support Commercial Lenders by analyzing financial data to determine loan repayment capacity, recommending credit structures, preparing credit presentations, and risk grading loans.

In addition to their banking career, Shaunda also worked as a Part-Time Online Critical Thinking Instructor at the University of Phoenix, facilitating online courses, providing assignments, grading assessments, and promoting class participation.

Shaunda Moore obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a major in Business Management from East Carolina University. Shaunda attended this institution from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in General Administration (MSA) at Central Michigan University, which they completed in 2008.
