Cherice Smith is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with extensive experience across various roles in leading organizations. Currently serving as Creative Lead at Lobster Ink since January 2022, Cherice has previously held positions such as Digital Content Marketing Lead at Cognician and Senior Marketing Manager at Aximpro. Prior roles include Senior Content and Communications Manager at InterNations and multiple marketing leadership positions at USB, where responsibilities encompassed stakeholder relations and communications. Cherice began a career in journalism with Media24 and Naspers Limited before transitioning into corporate communication. Educational qualifications include a Master in Corporate Communication from IE School of Science and Technology, a USB-ED Senior Management Development Programme certification from Stellenbosch Business School, and a BPhil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University. Recognitions include the Weber Shandwick Prize for the Best Final Project and the Director's Award for Best Student.
