John Adamu has extensive work experience in the IT field. John began their career in 1997 at First Bank of Nigeria Plc, where they provided technical support to users nationwide and was a team member for the Novell Netware 5.0 roll-out at all branches. John then worked at NNB International/Unity Bank Plc as a Windows System/Database Administrator from 2000 to 2007. From 2007 to 2011, they were employed at Reliance Telecommunications Limited as a Team Lead System/Database Administrator. Following that, they worked at Monarch Communications Limited as a Team Lead System/Database Administrator from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they held the role of Integration Consultant at OpenBet, where they later became a Senior Integration Consultant. John continued their career as a Senior Integration Consultant at NYX Gaming Group Ltd from 2016 to 2018, and is currently in the same role at SG - Digital since 2018.

John Adamu completed their secondary education at Government College Ughelli from 1982 to 1988, earning a WAEC diploma. John then pursued a higher education at Federal Polytechnic Bida, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering and obtained a HND degree from 1988 to 1993.
