Chris Aden has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Chris is currently working as the Sr. Director of AI Solutions at LMI Technologies since January 2021. Prior to this, they were the Founder and CEO of fringeAI, where they delivered AI and IoT powered inspection solutions to factory customers before being acquired by LMI Technologies in January 2021.
Before their role at fringeAI, Chris worked at Cognex Corporation as a Senior Product Marketing Manager & Product Owner from November 2016 to September 2018. Chris was responsible for developing turn-key 3D inspection solutions for factory automation and logistics systems.
From July 2012 to November 2016, Chris worked at Synopsys as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, managing the Saber product line for design, modeling, and simulation of electronic and mechatronic systems.
Prior to that, they worked as a Product Manager at The MathWorks from October 2008 to July 2012, managing system modeling and simulation software products for analog-mixed-signal and RF applications.
Chris also has experience as a Graduate Student Teaching Assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2008. Chris also founded Lean Design Solutions, L.L.C. in the same year, where they developed process design kits (PDKs) for WIN Semiconductor production microwave device technologies.
Chris'searlier experience includes roles as a Product Management Associate at Research In Motion in 2007, and as a Staff Engineer at Skyworks Solutions from October 2004 to August 2007, where they developed new RF technologies and components for wireless applications.
Additionally, Chris worked as a New Product Development Engineer at Ampair Energy in 2006, where they designed and prototyped wind energy systems for micro generation markets.

Chris Aden pursued education at various institutions. From 1994 to 1998, they attended the University of Florida, where they obtained a BS High Honors degree, focusing on Electrical Engineering. Following this, from 1998 to 2000, Chris pursued further studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning an MSEE degree with a specialization in Electromagnetics and Device Physics. Lastly, Chris attended the MIT Sloan School of Management from 2006 to 2008, completing an SM Management & Engineering degree, with a focus on Product Architecture, Strategy, Micro-Economics, and Finance.
