Patrick Shanahan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Patrick started their career in 2000 as a Project Engineer in the United States Air Force, where they led inter-disciplinary teams and collaborated with clients and stakeholders on various projects. Patrick then worked as a Supervising Engineer at the City of Santa Barbara from 2006 to 2012, overseeing the full project life cycle and working with clients, contractors, and citizens to improve the city. In 2014, Shanahan joined the Air National Guard as a Base Civil Engineer, where they served as the General Manager and supervised the development of long-term plans and strategies. In 2015, they transitioned to AMCAL Multi-Housing Inc. as the Director of Originations and Development, responsible for managing the organization's overall origination and development efforts. Patrick'smost recent role is the Vice President of Sales at LK Secured Lending, where they currently work.

Patrick Shanahan completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy in 2000. Additionally, they hold certifications as a LEED-AP from the US Green Building Council and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
