Shao-Yu Chang has worked in the optical engineering field since 2014. (Shao-Yu, Chang) began their career as a Research Assistant at National Chiao Tung University in 2014, where they learned to produce PCB boards, the principles of semiconductor lasers, and how to do machining on acrylic, PTFE, and aluminum. In 2017, they continued to work as a Research Assistant at the same university, where they designed and assembled a near-infrared diode laser system with a tapered amplifier, and completed the temperature and frequency stabilization of both blue and NIR lasers. In 2019, they became a Research and Development Engineer at Largan Precision Co., Ltd., where they were responsible for optical design, sensitivity, tolerance yield, and flare simulation analysis. In 2020, they joined GOODIX Technology INC. as an Optical Research and Development Engineer and led a project focusing on TOF (Time of Fly) system, earning two patents related to the Infrared imaging lens. Finally, in 2021, they began working as an Optical consultant at LuxshareTech - Enterprise, Cloud, Telecom & Industrial Solutions, where they established optical design process and specifications, and conducted one-time consultation or lens design for other companies. In 2022, they moved to Living Optics as a Senior Optical Engineer.
Shao-Yu Chang's education history consists of two degrees obtained from National Tsing Hua University. (Shao-Yu, Chang) obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2017, followed by a Master's degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering in 2018. Additionally, they have a certification in TOEIC(740) from the TOEIC Program.
