Alex W. has extensive experience in the banking and financial industry, with a focus on technology and architecture.
Starting in 2006, Alex worked at Oracle as a Senior Technical Member, where they gained valuable technical expertise.
In 2011, they joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. as the APAC Architect/Development Lead, responsible for overseeing payments and sanctions applications. During their time at JPMorgan, Alex led the architecture, solutions, and development of a global sanctions screening system, utilizing emerging technologies like MuleSoft and distributed in-memory cache.
In 2015, Alex moved on to HSBC as a Senior Solutions Architect, contributing to the development of innovative solutions. They transitioned to DBS Bank in 2018, taking on the role of VP of IT Architecture.
In 2019, Alex returned to HSBC as a Sr. Tech Lead, leading a diverse team and managing the overall technology of the PayMe e-wallet product to support millions of customers in the Hong Kong market.
Currently, Alex is employed at livi bank as the Chief Architect, utilizing their extensive knowledge and experience to drive technological advancements.
Throughout their career, Alex has consistently demonstrated their expertise in technology architecture, solution development, and the implementation of emerging technologies.
Alex W. holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University. They later pursued a Master's degree in the same field at the same university. In addition, Alex W. has obtained certifications as a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist and a Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2021.
