John Danks is an experienced artist and educator with a diverse background in teaching and recovery support. Currently serving as a teacher and facilitator at Penelope Fox Art Studio since December 2016, John specializes in drawing techniques, including colored pencil and life drawing. Concurrently, John works as a Certified Recovery Specialist at Livengrin Foundation, integrating art as a form of meditation in therapeutic activities. As a portrait artist with a personal website, johndanksart.com, since August 2008, John conducts color pencil workshops and creates fine art portraits, while also promoting "The Art Cart," a bedside art initiative for pediatric patients. John holds an Associate's degree in Fine Arts and Commercial Art from the Philadelphia Art Institute, attended Exeter High School, and has been engaged in the art community since 2008.
