Robert Warthen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Robert started their career as a Software Developer at DSI in 1991. In 1992, they joined NASD and Nasdaq as a Technical Director. Robert worked there until 2000. From 2000 to 2006, they worked as a Development Manager at Dakota Imaging. In 2004, they joined both WebMD and Emdeon, where they served as a Development Manager. Robert then became the Director of Product Development/Senior Developer at Axiom Systems from 2006 to 2016. In 2002, they became a Facilitator at the University of Phoenix, a role they held until 2019. Lastly, since 2016, Robert has been the Software Development Manager at Livanta LLC. Currently, they serve as the Chief Executive Officer at DNAGedcom LLC, a position they have held since December 2012.

Robert Warthen attended Catoctin High School from 1980 to 1984. Robert then enrolled in Virginia Tech from 1984 to 1988, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. After that, from 1989 to 1991, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at The Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, in July 2022, Robert obtained two certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS): AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical) and AWS Partner: Cloud Economics Accreditation.
