Ahmet Tezel, PhD, possesses extensive experience in medical device innovation and research, currently serving as the Incoming Chief Innovation Officer at LivaNova. Previously, Ahmet held key leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson MedTech as Company Group Chairman and Global Head of Innovation and R&D, and at Ethicon, Inc. as Worldwide Vice President of Research & Development. Ahmet's career also includes significant positions at Alcon, where responsibilities included Surgical Franchise Head and Vice President of Intra-Ocular Lens R&D, as well as at Allergan, where roles encompassed Vice President of Research & Product Development for Medical Devices. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and an M.Sc in Chemical Engineering from Boğaziçi University.
