Marie Newman is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in advocacy, consulting, and public service. Currently serving as President of Made From Scratch Studio since April 2024, Marie focuses on supporting women's issues, entrepreneurship, and economic equity, while developing various creative projects including books and a podcast. Previously, Marie held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Little City Foundation, where leadership aimed at enhancing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As the first woman elected to represent Illinois' Third Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, Marie actively participated in transportation, infrastructure, and small business committees. With a rich background in marketing and management consulting through Marie Newman & Associates and a strong record in anti-bullying initiatives, Marie has demonstrated a commitment to fostering positive societal change and community development. Marie holds a double Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
